New Jeans Tops Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs' in Korea

Girl group NewJeans' debut song 'Attention' topped the Korean Spotify chart.

According to Spotify, the world's largest music streaming company, the first title song 'Attention' of the debut album of New Jeans (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) topped the Korean 'Daily Top Songs' chart on the 1st. 

At the same time, the second title song 'Hype Boy' took 2nd place, the third title song 'Cookie' took 5th place, and the b-side song 'Hurt' took 11th place, and all 4 songs in the album took the top spot.

The songs from New Jeans' debut album were listed on the Spotify 'Daily Top Songs' chart in 7 countries/regions including Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia. 

On the Vietnamese charts, 'Hype Boy', 'Attention', 'Cookie', and 'Hurt' were ranked 53rd, 55th, 67th, and 104th, respectively. In Singapore, 'Attention' was ranked 55th, which is the highest ranking among new songs that charted that day. In Malaysia and Thailand charts, all songs were successful, and they received good results.

The group's activity on Spotify's 'Daily Top Artist' chart was also outstanding. New Jeans entered the 3rd place on Korea's 'Daily Top Artist' chart on the 1st, and proved to be a global topic by climbing to 33rd in Vietnam, 59th in Thailand, and 70th in Hong Kong.

The explosive popularity of New Jeans was also spotted in China too. The 4 tracks in the debut album swept the 1st to 4th spots on QQ Music, China's largest music platform, on the 2nd, and 'Hype Boy' and 'Attention' took the 1st and 2nd places on the Trend Index chart, while 'Cookie' took 6th and 9th places. Now, the newly debuted K-pop girl group stood out on the Chinese music charts, drawing the attention of local music fans.

On the other hand, New Jeans released the sound source of their debut album 'New Jeans' on the 1st, and all four songs on the album entered the real-time music charts of Bugs and Genie on the day of release. In particular, 'Attention' is receiving great love, ranking 7th on Melon's real-time chart at 11 pm on the 2nd and 1st on the Bugs daily chart on the 1st.
