With the second single released in Japan, South Korean idol group ENHYPEN swept the Oricon Daily Single Chart and the Weekly Chart. This is the first time for foreign artists to top the weekly charts with their debut single and second single in a row.
According to Oricon News on the 10th, ENHYPEN released their Japanese second single 'DIMENSION: 閃光' (Dimension: Senkou) on the 3rd and sold 305,786 copies. As of May 16th (May 2nd - May 8th), it topped the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.
'DIMENSION: 閃光' (Dimension: Senkou) also topped the daily single chart released on the 9th with the sales of 4,667 copies.
ENHYPEN also maintained the No. 1 spot on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart for 7 days in a row with their Japanese debut single 'BORDER:儚', released in July last year, and also climbed to the top of the weekly single chart with sales of 200,000 copies.
As a result, ENHYPEN became the first foreign male artist ever to top the Oricon weekly singles chart immediately after releasing their Japanese debut single and second single in a row.
