Group Black Pink was selected as the '2020 Best Pop Collaboration' selected by Rolling Stone in the United States.

Rolling Stone announced 'The Best Pop Collaborations of 2020' on the 15th (local time). Among the 18 songs carefully selected by Rolling Stone,'Ice Cream' in collaboration with Selena Gomez by Black Pink was the only one among K-pop.

It reads: Blackpink’s feature on Lady Gaga’s Chromatica album in March was an unexpected surprise for both BLINKS and Little Monsters alike, but “Sour Candy” was just a teaser for bigger things to come. In August, Blackpink recruited none other than Selena Gomez for “Ice Cream,” an infectious, summery bop that became an instant hit on the girl group’s debut LP, The Album — and a new fave for the fandom. While Blackpink have stormed the charts with their brand of in-your-face lyrics and aggressive, beat-heavy bangers, “Ice Cream” showcased a softer, more subtle side to the group, with playful double entendres riding a relaxed, head-nodding groove. The girls’ voices trade off perfectly with Gomez’s, equally coy and seductive, while holding their own with the reigning pop princess. Blackpink have never needed anyone’s stamp of approval to find success, but having a Gaga and Gomez co-sign in the same year went a long way towards exposing the group to a larger audience (worth noting: The Album also features a track with Cardi B). “Ice Cream” on its own was a delectable mashup of breezy hip-hop and bubblegum hooks — putting Gomez on the track with one of the biggest girl groups in the world, made it even sweeter. T.C.

'Ice Cream', released in August, reached No. 1 on the iTunes Worldwide Chart right after its release, and then rose to No. 13 on the American Billboard'Hot 100', breaking the highest ranking of K-pop girl groups and succeeded in charting for 8 consecutive weeks.

In addition, the music video has exceeded 400 million views on YouTube within 80 days of its release, and Spotify, the world's largest music streaming company, has exceeded 200 million streaming and is not stopping a new record.

This is significant in that it is a new record achieved only with music and music videos as Black Pink's achievements without any official activities with 'Ice Cream'.
