BTS May Postpone Military Service

Foreign media's interest is increasing as Korea's National Assembly has dealt with 51 bills, including the so-called 'BTS Military Service Act', which allows the extension of military service for outstanding people in the field of popular culture to the age of 30.
The BBC said on December 1 that "The Korean National Assembly has passed a law that could delay BTS' military service. The National Assembly gave a gift to Jin, who was about to enlist next year."
The BBC also added that the popularity of BTS has had a great influence over the world in recent years, but military service has always acted as a stumbling block for them.
The Wall Street Journal of the United States (WSJ) also delivered news and said, "As BTS's military service postponement becomes possible, fans are enthusiastic. The oldest member Jin can work with the members for two more years."
The New York Times also said, "Many K-pop fans are relieved by the passage of the amendment to the Military Service Act. Especially, it is a gift to Jin and fans who love him, who are about to enlist in the military."
