BlackPink 'Ice Cream' Reaches 8th Billboard Global 200 Chart

South Korean girl group Black Pink's new song 'Ice Cream' rose to 8th place on the 'Billb
oard Global 200 chart' newly established by Billboard of the United States. Excluding the US, it ranked 6th on the 'Global Chart', raising the status of K-pop.

On the 14th (local time), Billboard released two new charts -'Billboard Global 200' - that rank the most popular songs based on streaming and music sales (downloads) collected in over 200 regions of the world including the United States and 'Billboard Global Excl. US'. 

Billboard first released the top 10 rankings in the first week of this month, which aggregated data from September 4 to 10, but Black Pink's 'Ice Cream' ranked 8th and 6th on the'Billboard Global 200' and 'Billboard Global' charts, respectively.

As a result, Black Pink added its meaning by being the first K-pop girl group to be listed on the chart newly introduced by Billboard reflecting the latest trends in the popular music market.

Meanwhile, Black Pink is about to release the first full album 'THE ALBUM' after 4 years of debut on October 2nd. On the 14th of the same month, the Netflix original documentary 'Blackpink: Light Up the Sky' was announced, and it is raising the expectations of fans around the world.
