Big Hit Entertainment (Chairman Bang Si-hyuk) announced on the 25th that it acquired a stake in Pledis Entertainment (CEO Han Seong-soo), an agency of which Nu'est and Seventeen belong to.
As a result, Big Hit continued to change the entertainment industry by taking over Sosmusic (Label) and Superb (Game), as well as Pledis (Label) in a short term, less than a year.
As Pledis joined the Big Hit, Big Hit's multi-label system secured a stronger artist lineup. In particular, BTS, Tomorrow by Together, and Nu'est and Seventeen are gathered under one roof. It has become one of the best male group lineups in Korea.
Pledis' big hit joining was part of a big hit corporate strategy that seeks to create synergy through continuous expansion of multi-labels and advancement of specialized business areas (360, IP, platform).
