South Korean girl group BLACKPINK is making a news history with its song 'BOOMBAYAH'. The song topped the 800 million views on YouTube, making the group the only one who have achieved the feat with two songs. 

'Boombaya' music video surpassed 800 million views on YouTube on 9:24 am.


YG, its label said that "With this, BLACKPINK got to own two music videos that have more than 800 million views as the first K-pop group".

'Boombaya' is a song that announced Black Pink's debut along with 'Whistle'. Strong drum beats and unique synth sounds are impressive, and the chorus that shouts 'Oppa' is powerfullyl addictive.

It became a hot topic at the time of BLACKPINK debut and continues to be loved and proved their global popularity.

As a result, BLACKPINK will have two music videos with more than 800 million views for the first time among K-pop groups. BLACKPINK has earned 1 billion views with 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' and won the title of being the first and best hit ever in the K-pop group single music video.

And now, as 'Boombayah' reaches 800 million views, the group have two songs on the top, making it the greatest girl group ever in Korean music history.
