K-Pop star B.I, whose real name is Kim Han Bin (23), left iKon in the middle of drug controversy. But its repercussion is staggering.

As the criticism and suspicions escalated, he released a statement on SNS on June 12, saying that "First of all, I want to sincerely apologize for causing a trouble with my awfully inappropriate action. It is true that I was once in pain and suffering and I wanted to find comfort in something I shouldn't even have taken an interest in. However even that scared me so I couldn't take part".

"I humbly accept my faults and I wish to leave my team.", he added.

Soon after his apology, his label YG also released a statement apologizing over the singer's drug allegations, saying that "Kim Han-bin is holding himself heavily responsible for the repercussions of this issue. Taking this seriously, (YG) decided on his departure from the team and the terminate the contract."

Meanwhile, the iKon will continue to act as 6 member group, except B.I. and is going to have a concert in Japan on July 27, as scheduled.
