On December 16, Seolhyun posted on her instagram that “Hello, this is Seolhyun. Yesterday I felt fine right up until I went on stage, but because my condition wasn’t good, the things happen during the performance. As it was in indoors, it wasn’t cold, I will dress more warmly from now on. Thank you for worrying about me."
Seolhyun suddenly fell down and fainted on the stage while singing at Epic Games Korea, the host of Fortnite Korea Open 2018, held at Hwajung Gymnasium of Korea University.
Her agency, FNC Entertainment, initially said that the illness was due to sudden dizziness from the firework effects, but later clarified that Seolhyun had been suffering from cold symptoms. But when fans insisted that her dizziness is due to cold, FNC later announced that the singer had hyperventilated due to cold. It also admitted the gun powder was not the reason.
