'Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds' and 'Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days' is expects to be released in China this year. They will be the first Korean movie to be officially released in China after the THADD standoff.
According to the film industry, the Chinese distributor recently asked Dexter Studio for additional work to prepare the release in China. The studio was asked to edit some scenes and record by the end of this month.
As a result, Dexter Studio is recording with some of actors including Ha Jeong Woo. In China, goblins are allowed while ghost are not. Some cult are not allowed neither as it can mislead the public. For this reason, movies were edited and re-recorded while replacing some words.
The series have attracted over 10 million audience for each and gained popularity in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.
Chinese company Alpha Holding is allegedly known that it has invested in the movie with distribution right in return. Thus the company were keeping a keen eye on the relationship between the two countries.
