Lim Chang Jung, My Heyday Yet to Come

South Korean actor Im Chang Jung's recent movies were not received well and the star said that "I can be called as no-hit maker".

During the interview at a cafe in Samcheong-dong on 20th, Starnews and the star talked on his new movie 'Gate'. The film is about a prosecutor who lost his memory after getting into a car accident. He was trying to solve a case that is based on a recent political scandal that has stirred Korea. Shin Dong-yeop, who recently changed name to Shin Jae Ho, directed the movie. Lim starred as prosecutor while also participated in production, scenario and music. 

His recent movie including "Holiday in Rome" and "Out of Law" all recorded disappointing box office record. On this, he said "It is ok to call them big failed movies. (But) I do not feel good when I hear such stories."

He also added that, "I tried hard but the result did not come out well. In the past, I worked with good directors, but nowadays I do not see them very well. I think there are heydays for songs, the acting and the entertainment and it means that I am on the way to the down from the top. But I will live up to 100 years old and my best days will come. It is just that it have not come yet."
 
"I still dream of receiving awards in my 60's and 70's. And I say that there were days when my movies were not received well. I dream and live", he added.
