Lee Seung Gi runs as the London Olympics torch-bearer

In order to run as the 2012 London Summer Olympics torch-bearer in this July, Lee is going to visit London at the end of June and run down a street, holding a torch.

On March 14, a spokesperson for Lee reported to Starnews, “Lee is going to run as the London Olympics torch-bearer.”

It’s been reported that he’s been selected as the London Olympics torch-bearer because he’s currently working for a Kimchi refrigerator brand of Samsung Electronics, an official sponsor for Olympics, as an exclusive model.

When the 2004 Athens Olympics was held, Lee Hyo Ri and Kwon Sang Woo, who were working for the cell phone brand Anycall of Samsung Electronics as models, ran as torch-bearers.

Han Ga In was also named as another London Olympics torch-bearer, but a spokesperson for Han said, “It’s certainly not true. Because she has a schedule around that time, she cannot go to London.”

Han is also working for a washer brand of Samsung Electronics as a model.
