Singer IU, national little sister, is officially a high school graduate.

On February 9, IU attended a graduation ceremony, which was held at Donduk Girls High School in Seoul.

IU was surrounded by her friends, and wore a graduation gown during the ceremony. Lots of media outlets came to the ceremony to report on IU, who is loved by all generations.

As soon as IU arrived at her school, she went into the principal’s office. She smiled brightly at lots of cameras. She talked with her friends and had a great time during the ceremony. Her friends also looked excited to be graduated and took pictures with her.

In order not to cause any troubles to her friends and their families, she prepared an extra place to give interviews to media outlets.

IU said, “Thank you for coming to my graduation ceremony. I’m finally graduating from high school. Since I’m twenty years old now, I’ll show a more mature side as an adult.”

She added, “My school played a video of the last three years. I felt sad that I didn’t have many memories about high school. But I feel like I’m an adult now. Since I’m an adult, I want to make a toast.”

IU also made a cute request to reporters. She made the V sign with both her hands and said, “I’m wearing makeup today so please don’t write that I didn’t wear makeup.”

IU decided not to go to college this year. She previously said she wanted to go when she can actually study. She will start performing in Japan more actively this year.

IU held a showcase, ‘Japan Premium Live’ on January 24 in Tokyo and announced her official debut. She will release the Japanese version of her song “Good Day” on March 21.

In addition, actor Yoo Seung Ho, A pink’s Yoon Bo Mi, and AA’s Kim Chi and Ho Ik also graduated from Seoul Korea Art School on the same day.
